چکیده
Background/Aim. Type IV collagen belongs to the group of nonfibrillar collagens and is an important component basement membranes, where it accounts for approximately 50% its structural elements. The aim study was describe expression distribution type in embryonic fetal metanephric kidney determine volume density tissue each trimester development. Methods. material consisted 19 human embryos/fetuses, gestational age from 8th 37th week. Kidney specimens were routinely processed paraffin molds, stained immunohistochemically using polyclonal anti-collagen antibody counterstained with Mayer hematoxylin eosin. Stained slides examined a light microscope, images selected areas under different lens magnification captured digital camera. Volume determined ImageJ 1.48v plugin software, which inserted grid system 336 points. For data comparison, One-Way Analysis Variance (ANOVA) used. Results. Strong immunopositivity seen all specimens, membranes urinary bud, parietal leaf Bowman?s capsule, glomerular membrane, membrane interstitial blood vessels, nephron tubules collecting ducts. No statistically significant difference found among trimesters Conclusion. synthesis secretion simultaneously follow development structures, vessels. remains constant throughout development, indicating that plays crucial role normal as well maintaining function.

متن کاملThe function of type IV collagen during Drosophila muscle development
Type IV collagen forms a network that provides the major structural support for basement membranes. Basement membranes are specialized forms of extracellular matrix with important functions in development. One collagen gene (Dcg1) was characterized in Drosophila melanogaster and shown to encode a collagen chain related to vertebrate basement membrane type IV collagen chains. Therefore, to acces...

Type IV collagenases matrix metalloproteinase-2 (MMP2) and MMP9 and their related proteins, MT1-MMP, tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinases 1 (TIMP1), TIMP2, and TIMP3, are expressed during kidney morphogenesis and nephrogenesis, but the renal ontogeny of these proteins is only partially known, and their persistence in the adult remains controversial. Their expression was analyzed from early me...

Objective(s):Skin extracellular matrix, which contains type I and type III collagens, is involved in skin development. The aim of this study was to investigate type III collagen distribution pattern as well as its changes during pre and post-natal skin morphogenesis in rats. Materials and Methods: Ventral skins of Wistar rat embryos at different stages from 10 to 20 gestational day (E10-E20) a...
متن کاملBasement membrane collagen type IV expression by human mesenchymal stem cells during adipogenic differentiation
During adipogenic differentiation human mesenchymal stem cells (hMSC) produce collagen type IV. In immunofluorescence staining differentiating hMSCs started to express collagen type IV when Oil Red O-positive fat droplets appeared intracellularly. Quantitative real time-polymerase chain reaction confirmed progressive increase of collagen type IV α1 and α2 mRNA levels over time, 18.6- and 12.2-f...
